I have never considered bocas del toro as a holiday destination before, probably because I did not know much about it. However, a family member has just come back from there and showed me their photographs and it looks fantastic. They had a really pretty bocas del toro property which they rented for two weeks. They spent their time sight-seeing, relaxing, reading, enjoying the views and basically having some fun family time together. It sounded like they had a really great time and I would love to take my family there as well. We do not holiday every year and so when we do go, we really make the most of it. We also have enjoyable and memorable holidays, mainly because we actually get to spend time together as a family, which is not something that we do much of the time as we are all too busy. In a way, the local is not massively important, it is the fact that we are away from home and being together. However, we do tend to find that it is more enjoyable if the location is pretty, the property is comfortable and the weather is good. This is a reason for looking at the bocas del toro resort as it looked very comfortable with great facilities and the weather looked ideal for us. I will just have to see whether the rest of the family are as keen as me in spending time there

I have been asked to be a bridesmaid by a friend of mine and I am looking forward to it, apart from one thing. She has chosen the most horrible dresses for the bridesmaids. I know that the wedding dresses need to be the main focus and the bridesmaids should not take any focus from the bride but I do not like it when the dresses are nasty to make the bride look better. Perhaps it isn’t intentional but I feel really horrid in the dress that I am wearing and I just wish that it was slightly more flattering. The colour doesn’t suit me either but I guess that it matches the flowers and the wedding reception decorations so I cannot complain about that. I am sure it will be okay, but I normally like to go to a wedding feeling like I look good, although I would never dream of trying to upstage the bride. I think that because the wedding venue is a hotel, that I will book a room in and then change for the evening reception so I feel better. I have a nice dress that I will feel comfortable in, that is right for the occasion and is a flattering style so I will have that with me.

Maria is a Software Engineer in a renowned software company in Utah. All she does is web design in Utah. She got educated in computing in the year 2002. She has interest in this domain when she joined her studies. She used to design and develop web sites or small, small components of a small website when she used to do small projects in her studies. She was clever in website development related studies. She got her personal computer as a gift from her father when she was studying 10th.

Recently she joined in one of the Utah web design firms. She got interviewed by Dan. Dan is a senior project leader in the same firm. He and couple of his friends together started his company way back in the year 2003. That time there was lot of boom in web based programming. Dan was looking for a candidate having about 3 to 4 years experience and having hands on experience in the same domain. Maria was a perfect choice for the post. She gave aptitude test round and got selected for first level of the interview. She cleared first level interview, conducted by HR. Normally the fashion is to conduct HR level interview first then the technical interview.

When I was a kid, I had a close friend from Ellsworth in Maine. She had come over to spend a few months with her grandparents who stayed in my town of Jacksonville, Florida. We hit it off instantly. She used to say a lot about her place & how beautiful & scenic it was. Her father used to own a chain of hotels in Maine. I bet she made full use of that! She used to tell me how she used to travel all around the state of Maine, whenever she & her parents had the free – time. Maine hotels have always done good business & even during this time of financial crisis which is hopefully about to end soon, those hotels are doing decent business. No wonder why….with all the nature`s beauty lavished upon it, that is bound to happen.

Ten years down the line, I have still not been able to visit her place in Maine. Nonetheless, we have kept in touch to this day. Although at times she does get angry that i have not kept my word & she is right. Ten years is far too great a timeframe to not do something which you wish you should have done ages ago. So, I guess I will give her a pleasant surprise in the first week of ‘new year’ when I inform her that I have landed a job in Portland, Maine. It would also be a perfect opportunity to get to know a place that I have longed to see for quite some time now.
