On June 15, 2022, the district government of Zibo City Zhangdian District held the mid-term report meeting on Shandong Zibo Zhangdian Economic Development Zone Planning and Design at District Government Affairs Center. The meeting was chaired by Secretary of the District Party Committee Guo Qing, attended by leaders of the district party committee and district government and departments’ heads.

SCP Consultants Private Limited presented detailed reports covering industrial planning, conceptual planning and urban design. The plan focus on positioning of “New Highland for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development, New Space for Digital Intelligent Manufacturing, and New Demonstration for Zero-Carbon Urban Park”, takes “Leading New Industries and Shaping New Scenarios” as the starting point to create a Future-oriented, City-Wide, Radiating “Green Valley of Science and Technology Innovation, Digital Intelligence Engine”. It strives to build Zibo Zhangdian Economic Development Zone into a leading demonstration of New Ecological Industry City, City-Wide Science and Technology Innovation R&D Base.

After the presentation, Secretary Guo Qing affirmed the planning result of Zhangdian Economic Development Zone and thanked SCP team for their efforts. He emphasized the need for high starting point positioning and high-level planning, strengthening the connection and integration with surrounding areas, and building upstream and downstream industrial chains around digital economy, smart energy, and artificial intelligence, so as to develop the zone into a model of industry-city integration where high-tech industries gather and light manufacturing develop.

Various departments put forward feedbacks such as to further strengthen the connection with national land use, deepen the research on public service facilities, parking facilities, etc., strive to promote high-quality implementation and high-standard construction.

In the next stage, SCP will further improve the results based on the opinions, strive to successfully complete the preparation of Zhangdian Economic Development Zone Planning and Design.
